Abigail Rideout

Abigail Rideout

Dance Teacher 

Abigail started dancing at the young age of three and has never looked back.  She started dancing at the age of five and decided that’s what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.  As a child Abigail performed with the English Youth Ballet, Professional Pantomime companies and took part in local productions.

Abigail then attended The Centre Performing Arts college and completed her Musical Theatre training whilst also completing her ISTD Teaching Qualifications in Modern Theatre, Classical Ballet and Tap.

Abigail has taught and choreographed for many different schools in the UK whilst maintaining her professional dancing career. Abigail is now looking forward to carry on her teaching in Dubai with Turning Pointe

Aniela Szary

Aniela Szary

Dance Teacher

Aniela began dancing at the age of four years old. She furthered her dance training at Northern Ballet School where she gained her Diploma in Professional Dance alongside gaining her Diploma in Dance Instruction (D.D.I) Ballet Teaching Qualification. After graduating Aniela began a career in performing all styles of dance, from classical ballet to Hip Hop and Street Jazz, she had contracts with a wide variety of companies including Manchester City Ballet. Aniela has been working in our Abu Dhabi branch since 2014.

 

Helena Knight

Dance Teacher

From South Wales, Helena started Ballet at the age of four and further studied Tap, Modern and Contemporary to a Vocational Standard.  Helena graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in 2014 with a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education and as a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance (LRAD). Following graduation, Helena spent the last two years in Dubai teaching ballet, choreographing and preparing students for examinations.  Helena joined the Turning Pointe team in 2016.

Janine Binns

Janine Binns

Dance Teacher

Janine Started dancing at the age of 4. She completed her training at the Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town, South Africa where she studied ISTD Modern, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre and Drama. 

After a performing career Janine joined the staff of Waterfront Theatre School and achieved her Licentiates in both Modern and Tap. Janine has been a choreographer for various musicals and corporate events, a production assistant and company manager as well as producer of her own cabaret show before relocating to Dubai in 2015.  Janine has been teaching RAD ballet in addition to ISTD Modern and Tap since teaching in the UAE and joined Turning Pointe in September 2017.

 

Lucie Howells

Lucie Howells

Dance Teacher

Since she the age of four Lucie attended dance classes and started performing in pantomimes and shows. She enrolled into a Stage School at the age of 12 where she began training full time in various styles of dancing, singing and acting. Lucie earned her 3 Year Musical Theatre Diploma at Millennium Performing Arts in London.

Lucie’s passion for Musical Theatre has taken her across the world, performing in shows located in Malta, Cape Verde as well as on Cruise Ships. She loved sharing her knowledge by teaching various Masterclasses and dance classes in different locations across the UK.

She is excited to be joining the Turning Pointe team in Abu Dhabi.

Lydia Leeson

Lydia Leeson

Dance Teacher

Lydia began dancing at the age of 3, at 16 she gained a scholarship to further her dance career at The Hammond School in Chester UK. There she studied various styles of dance from Ballet to Musical Theatre, graduating in 2008 with a National Diploma in Professional Dance.

Lydia then went on to fulfill a successful International dance career performing in various TV Shows in Paris, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Asia. One of her career highlights was dancing alongside Hugh Jackman.

In 2012 Lydia made a career change into teaching bringing with her all her experience from performing. After qualifying as a teacher, Lydia joined the Turning Pointe teaching faculty in 2014 teaching Classical Ballet from Babies through to Vocational students as well as Contemporary, Hip Hop and Street Jazz. Due to her senior ballet students consistently receiving excellent examination results in their RAD Exams, Lydia now teaches the Higher Grades of ballet and the Vocational classes.

Patricia Sanchez

Born and raised in Mexico, Paty was surrounded with dance throughout her childhood as her mother is a Dance Teacher and Examiner of the  Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Paty started her training at her mother's RAD Dance Academy in Acapulco, Mexico. In 2008 she moved to the UK and enrolled herself into the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) at the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in London, successfully completing the course in 2011 receiving her RAD teaching certification.

Paty gained experience working as a professional dancer in the UK and Dubai; dancing in various Street/Hip Hop crews, Musical reviews and Brazilian shows. 

With over 10 years of successful teaching experience in different genres of dance Paty’s main focus now is Classical Ballet, especially the Higher Grades and Vocational Syllabus which are her strength, enabling her to follow her passion and share her knowledge with her students.

Paty is very happy to have rejoined the Turning Pointe team in September 2017.

Rachael Savan

Rachael started her training at the age of 4yrs at the Mandy and Shirley Morris school of dance in South Wales. From the age of 10 she became an associate at the Royal Ballet School in London. At the of 16 she gained a scholarship to further her training at the Hammond School of Dance, Chester where she studied for 3 years gaining a National Diploma in Dance and Performing Arts.

 

Rachael’s professional dance career has taken her all over the world performing for 12 years on cruise ships. During this time she performed in a wide variety of production shows to worldwide audiences. 

Rachael has taught and Choreographed in dance schools throughout South Wales and enjoys teaching all styles of dance. As a Dance Teacher for Turning Pointe, Rachel enjoys passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation.

Suné Burger

Suné Burger

Dance Teacher

Suné started dancing at the age of four, ever since ballet has been one of her main passions. She went on to study dancing at Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town, South Africa, where she majored in ISTD Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz, receiving her Associate in ISTD Modern as well as her Diploma in ISTD Ballet.

During her training years she was also exposed to other elements such as drama, singing and musical theatre. Whilst at college Suné broadened her skills and became the costume manager for the college assisting on various productions in and out of college.

After graduating from college Suné moved to Qatar to launch the first ever ISTD Centre in the country. She joined the Turning Pointe teaching team in August 2018 and hopes to add and build on its current success.
